How do I use the scanner?
The free web-based scanner is used to add and redeem points and rewards, making the process a simple one for you and your customer
Hardware requirements: Any web enabled mobile device with a camera or a desktop/laptop with a web-cam or hand held scanner.
You can access the scanner from your dashboard as shown below:
To access the scanner you (or a staff member if the plan allows multiple users) will need to login to your account.

To save time, consider saving the link onto the home screen of your mobile device or bookmark it in your favourie browser.
If you are having issues with the camera you can also opt to manually enter the serial number of the customer's card.
The serial number is located on the information page of the customer's card
SCANNING CARDS
Depending on which card you are processing, the scanner screen will show different options as indicated below.
1. STAMP CARD
Card Feature: Customer collect stamps which each purchase. One they accumulate enough stamps they earn a reward.
For example (as illustrated): If a customer purchases 5 meals, they get the 6th free. Another example, likely more well known is a coffee shop where they offer free coffee after purchasing 10.
Scanner Functions:
- ADD: As the customer makes a purchase you scan log the purchase.
- REDEEM: Once the customer earns the reward, you can redeem it. The stamp can be used repeatedly to start the cycle over again.
2. REWARDS CARD
Card Feature: Offer tiered rewards to customers. The more they purchase the more points they earn to qualify for your defined rewards.
Scanner Functions:
- POINTS: Add points when customers make purchases. As they accumulate points the qualify for extra rewards.
- REWARD: Redeeming the reward they have earned.
3. MEMBERSHIP CARD
Card Feature: Validates active status of a customer. For example a gym membership.
Scanner Function: Once card is scanned it will return a "VALID" or "INVALID" message.
4. DISCOUNT CARD
Card Feature: This operated like a club card where customers collect points to earn % discounts. You can set up tiers and the more the customer spends the higher the discount they qualify for.
Scanner Function: ADD POINTS Points refers to currency rounded to the nearest whole number.
5. CASHBACK CARD
Card Feature: Customer collects points and the % of point they collect is based on the tiers you set up. Points collected ca be redeemed for merchandise or cash (You determine the value of each point for redemption)
Scanner Functions:
- ADD: Add the purchase value. (Note: Currently the platform only operated in whole values so you will need to round to the nearest dollar value)
- REDEEM: Customer can redeem the points they have collected.
6. COUPON CARD
Card Feature: This is typically a one-time use card that has a % value discount as well as an expiry date. This card can be converted to another loyalty card once redeemed

7. MULTIPASS CARD
Card Feature: Works like the opposite of a stamp card where each scan allow you to remove a "stamp".
An example could be a pizzeria that offer a 12-slice bundle deal at discount. With each store visit they use up a stamp to represent a pizza slice.
There is also a secondary point program you can also initiate where customer can collect points which can later be redeemed for store items or store credit towards a purchase
Scanner Functions:
- ADD VISITS: To "load" up the card with stamps (usually done at time of multipass purchase)
- REDEEM VISITS: To use up/ remove a stamp representing the purchase of the item bought in the bundle
8. CERTIFICATE CARD
Card Feature: Works like a gift certificate.
Scanner Functions:
- ADD POINTS: The amount you enter "loads" up the digital certificate with value (POINTS in this case means CURRENCY). This needs to occur after the customer installs the card on their phone.
- REDEEM POINTS: As the customer uses up the value of the certificate towards the their purchase (POINTS = CURRENCY).
